Setting Up a JSA Form

How to Create Your First JSA Form

Get the WorkSignals App

Start by downloading the app, and continue to create an account. On the first step, enter your work email address and company name, then proceed.

Enable JSA Form

On the second step, you'll see a list of forms that you can enable for your business. Select the "JSA Form" feature and continue.

WorkSignals also provides a variety of other predefined forms for different aspects of your business. You can find them later within the app by navigating to "Settings > Manage Apps."

Add Co-workers

On the third step, we add co-workers. To ensure that your JSA form is properly reviewed and signed off, you need to invite some co-workers.

Add a name and an email address, and click 'Add to my Team'. This tutorial will work best with a few team members added.

When you're done, click 'Save' to invite the co-workers and continue.

Once added, WorkSignals will send each user an email or SMS with a link to complete their account setup.

Create a JSA

Now that your account is set up and your co-workers are onboard, it's time to create your first JSA form. Follow these steps:

Open the WorkSignals app and navigate to the "Forms" tab.

Tap on "JSA (Job Safety Analysis)" and select the '+' arrow to create a JSA.

Fill in the required fields with relevant information. For this example, we'll use fake data, but make sure to enter accurate details for your real JSA forms.

In the "Job Description" field, provide a description of the test job.
Under "Safety Equipment required for this job", add and then select "Safety Glasses" and "Hard Hat."
In the "Location" field, click on "Add Location" and enter "Sydney." Save it and select "Sydney" as the location for the job.
For the "Supervisor," choose one of the co-workers you've invited or add a new person by clicking "Add Person."

Next, add tasks for your co-workers to review.

Click on "Create Task" and enter fake data.
Click "Save and Submit" to attach the task to the JSA form.
Repeat this step to add multiple tasks for your co-workers to review.
Scroll down to the "Signatories" section, and press the field to add the co-workers who need to sign off on the JSA form.

Once you're done, click "Save and Submit" to save the JSA form. Your co-workers will be notified that a new JSA form is available for inspection and sign-off.

You'll receive a notification each time a co-worker signs off on the JSA form.
